How much does Telegram Ads cost in 2026? Prices, budgets and examples
In this guide
Telegram Ads is Telegram’s official self-serve advertising platform, and impressions are billed in euros. Across our campaigns, a channel subscriber cost between €0.19 and €4.74; half of the cases landed between €1.19 and €2.40, and a typical subscriber cost about €1.40. Bot users were cheaper, from €0.19 to €0.60. In the two cases where we tracked leads, a lead cost €4.60 and €12.20.
These are results from 29 of our published case studies, not market averages. The price of any given launch depends on the industry, market, offer and the action you count as a result. Below you will find prices by industry, a monthly budget example and the full list of costs. For a quick estimate of ad spend per subscriber, try the Telegram Ads cost calculator.
How much does a Telegram Ads subscriber cost by industry?
The table covers 26 cases where ads led to a channel. The median is the middle value: half of the cases in that industry came in below it and half above.
| Industry | Cases | Median | Range |
|---|---|---|---|
| Education and experts | 7 | €1.43 | €0.19–4.74 |
| Retail and manufacturing | 7 | €1.49 | €0.77–3.60 |
| Finance and crypto | 5 | €1.37 | €1.29–2.09 |
| Services and apps | 2 | €2.29 | €0.45–4.14 |
| Health and local services | 3 | €2.27 | €1.23–4.62 |
| Media and creator channels | 2 | €0.79 | €0.61–0.97 |
| All industries | 26 | €1.40 | €0.19–4.74 |
The cheapest subscriber, €0.19, came from a driving-test prep channel in Armenia. The most expensive, €4.74, was in a business-coaching project that also recorded a high-ticket sale. For a furniture manufacturer, more than 12 months of work brought 6,065 subscribers at €1.49, close to the overall median.
Amounts originally in US dollars or roubles were converted to euros at approximate exchange rates.
How much do leads and bot users cost?
A subscriber is not yet a customer. If the ad leads straight to a bot or a website, you need to measure a different event.
| Result | Case study | Cost |
|---|---|---|
| Website lead | Massage and float studio, St Petersburg | €4.60 |
| Wholesale buyer enquiry | iPhone wholesaler | €12.20 |
| Bot subscriber | Uzbekistan launch | €0.60 |
| Mini App user | Mini Apps | ≈ €0.19 |
| Bot visit | VPN service | ≈ €0.28 |
Do not compare these rows directly: a bot visit, a subscription and a lead are different actions. In the massage studio case, a channel subscriber and a website lead cost almost the same, around €4.6. But a lead is someone ready to book, while a subscriber still has to reach out.
What is the minimum Telegram Ads budget?
There is no single minimum. It depends on how you access the platform: self-service, a provider-managed account or an agency-supported launch. Currencies, fees and minimum top-ups differ between them. Telegram’s public getting-started guide lists a minimum CPM bid of 0.1 Toncoin for the format it describes. That is a price per thousand impressions, not a campaign budget.
Keep three numbers separate:
- Minimum top-up: whether you can technically start.
- Test budget: how many hypotheses you can check.
- Management cost: the team’s work.
Total ad spend in our cases ranged from €70 to €20,000 over the whole engagement, with half of the projects between roughly €740 and €3,950. Small budgets suit a narrow test: one audience, one offer and one clear metric.
How much does Telegram Ads cost per month?
It is easiest to work backwards from the result you need: daily subscribers or leads × cost per result × 30 days.
Say you need 30 subscribers a day and a typical cost in your industry is €1.40. That gives 30 × 30 × €1.40 = €1,260 of ad spend a month. At €2.40 it rises to €2,160. Treat the first weeks as a test: they reveal the real cost of your specific result.
In our Turkey launch, the client wanted 100–150 subscribers a day at around €1 each. We tested more than 200 campaigns in the first month. The final result was 5,052 subscribers for €6,506, or €1.29 each, and the main setup reached €0.95 by the end.
What makes up the cost of Telegram Ads?
| Cost | What you are paying for | What to ask before launch |
|---|---|---|
| Media budget | Ad impressions | How much of the payment becomes spendable ad balance? |
| Account funding | Provider services and payment processing | What fees and exchange terms apply? |
| Campaign management | Targeting, copy, testing and optimisation | Which tasks and period are included? |
| Preparation | Channel, site, bot and tracking setup | What is ready, and what is billed separately? |
Taxes or other charges may apply under a particular provider’s terms. Ask for a breakdown rather than borrowing a percentage from someone else’s article. A useful quotation shows the payment amount and the spendable ad balance side by side, so fees are not hidden inside a “launch from” headline.
How do you calculate a full launch budget?
Imagine planning roughly €520 for impressions, €156 for specialist work and €104 for landing-page and analytics preparation. That is about €780 before funding fees. If the example funding fee is 20% of media spend only, add about €104: the total becomes roughly €884. These figures illustrate the calculation; they are not our agency’s rate card or a provider quote.
If the campaign delivers 25 enquiries, cost per enquiry is about €21 using media spend alone, or about €35 using all the costs above. Both numbers are valid if you label what went into the calculation.
One-off work on a site may support later campaigns, so show it separately. But do not make it disappear when evaluating the cash needed for the first launch.
What determines cost per subscriber or lead?
- Market. The same topic costs differently in Russia, Turkey or Uzbekistan.
- Audience size. The fewer relevant channels, the more each impression costs, and competitors in narrow niches can outbid you.
- Ad review. Crypto and finance ads are rejected more often. In the Turkey case, every campaign was rejected in one week, and about a week and a half of volume was lost.
- Ad copy and offer. The message shapes how many people click and how many of them subscribe.
- What counts as a result. Subscriptions, bot starts, contacts and sales all cost differently.
A cheaper click is not automatically better. One message may attract curiosity; another may explain the offer clearly enough to filter out people who were never likely to buy. The second can have a higher CPC and a lower cost per qualified lead. We explain how to judge quality in How to measure Telegram Ads performance.
Telegram Ads or sponsored posts: which is cheaper?
A sponsored post is bought directly from a channel owner. The owner sets the price, and the result depends on a single placement. With Telegram Ads you pay for impressions, choose channels and topics yourself and can pause a weak ad at any time.
Which format is cheaper depends on your industry and goal. See the full comparison in Telegram Ads vs sponsored posts.
How should you choose a first-test budget?
Start with the maximum acceptable cost for the action you actually want. Pick hypotheses your budget can genuinely test: each needs an audience, offer, destination and stop rule.
Do not spread a small budget across dozens of variants. If each receives only a handful of visits, your report will contain many rows but little evidence. Fewer, clearly different combinations are easier to learn from.
Agree in advance when results will be counted. Enquiries can arrive well after the click: in our online vocal school case, 40–45 days passed between the first ad impression and payment for the flagship course.
What should you ask before paying a provider or agency?
- How much of the invoice will reach the ad balance after deductions?
- What does management include, and what costs extra?
- Which action counts as the result, and how is it recorded?
- Who can access the ad account, reports and unused balance?
- What is the test budget, and when will the test stop?
Specific answers make offers easier to compare. The lowest entry price may become the more expensive route once setup, fees and omitted work are included.
Can you know the cost per lead in advance?
Not exactly. You can build a range from your own history, comparable projects and unit economics, but keep untested assumptions visible.
